It’s July and my balcony is the hottest room in the apartment. Late afternoon is the only time I can sit out there, so that is when this one got opened.
This is a local one, brewed right here in town, which always makes me a little extra curious.
Look at that colour! Deep raspberry red with a thick pink head that refuses to go anywhere.
The aroma is straight raspberry, not the candy kind. The taste is tart and clean, sourness first and raspberry right behind it, then a dry and short finish. At 4,5% it drinks incredibly easy, maybe a little too easy in the sun.
If I am being picky, a little more malt sweetness underneath would have been interesting. But this is doing exactly what a summer sour should do, and it does it well.
45 kr for 440 ml, which is completely fair. I will absolutely buy it again this summer.
