Kaffebox – July 19 Box Preview: Tim Wendelboe

Now it’s finally time for the next KaffeBox. Let’s go with the July 19 box!

This will be the 18th time for KaffeBoxyou can read the most previous post here.

The coffee comes from the Norwegian roaster and legend Tim Wendelboe. this and next week we will review coffee from Colombia and Kenya. Just look at the bags, they are so beautiful!

As usual, I start with an informative text about the coffees:

Tim Wendelboe, Norway.

1) Tim Wendelboe – Finca Tamana
Personal cupping and recipe will be published 2019-07-14

Origin: Colombia
Variety: Variedad Colombia
Producer: Elias Roa
Region: El Pital, Huila
Process: Washed
Altitude: 1 650 1 750  masl.

Cupping notes from the coffee roastery:
Brown sugar, stone fruit & herbal.

Expectation:
The cupping notes make me very excited about the coffee. It feels like the typical Huila coffee. It smells amazing and I’ve been pressing out the air a couple of times just to smell the amazing aroma.

2) Tim Wendelboe – Kiawamururu
Personal cupping and recipe will be published 2019-07-17

Origin: Kenya
Variety: Arabica SL 28 SL 34, Ruiru 11 & Batian
Producer: Rumukia Farmers cooperative society
Region: Nyeri
Process: Washed
Altitude: 1 700 – 2 000 masl.

Cupping notes from the coffee roastery:
Raspberries, red apples & rose hips.

Expectation:
I have a feeling that this will be a very friendly yet acidic coffee. They write about rose hips, apples and raspberries. This makes me very hopeful that I might get a really good Kenyan coffee.

Conclusion: This will be a very special and interesting review for me. Tim Wendelboe is a very famous person in the specialty coffee community, so this makes me very curious to see what kind of coffee this will be. I’ve tried his coffee before, but It’s my first time writing about it.

I think that the Colombian coffee will be very good, a coffee I’ll drink every day without feeling bored. The Kenyan coffee might be that special coffee with that sweet acidic taste. I believe that both of them will be amazing!!

As usual, I always wish to give a respectful greeting to KaffeBox, which allows us to get together with coffee from all over Scandinavia so that we can see how we roast differently and at the same time give us the best coffee from there. As a Swede, I hope we support our wonderful neighbors and continue to subscribe.

I have great hopes for this July 19 Box!
